Symbian Still Leads!

30 Dec , 2011

Yep, you heard it right. People around the world keep saying “Symbian is dead” but is it really true? Symbian has really lost it’s market share? Well,  not really.

StatCounter – the free, online visitor stats tool’s report for Top 8 Mobile OS from Dec-2010 to Nov-2011 shows that Nokia’s “so-called” dead os Symbian still leads. StatCounter stats are based on aggregate data collected on a sample exceeding 15 billion pageviews per month collected from across the StatCounter network of more than 3 million websites. No matter how well Android or other devices are selling, but there are much more users from Symbian OS across the world.

Amazing thing is, even after #Feb11 ‘s announcement, Symbian share has increased significantly. Symbian is only used by Nokia (forget the exceptions for now please) while Android is being used by many manufacturers for smartphones and tablets, still it’s behind the Symbian.

No matter what people say, but all we would say is “Nokia is still people’s choice!”. What do you say?
