This online store has got the Lumia 920 in stock and selling at Rs. 36499, promising delivery in 3-5 business day. While they have Lumia 820 at Rs. 26499 . I have personally never used this online store before. Price, however, looks good compared to what other online stores have got with their coming soon tags.
If you want to order one, head to http://www.saholic.com
What do you think about the price? IMO, it bit overpriced. Should have near 33k.
Regarding the date of launch, they the guy said, Lumia 820 and 920 will be launched on 1st week of the January and lowend Lumia 620 will be launched on the 4th week of the Jan. They have no details of the expected price but local stores of Pune are expecting it to be priced between Rs. 30k to Rs35k. It will be a great hit if they can price it near Rs. 30k.
As we already know that Lumia 920 does not support the TD-LTE band, which is being used in India, I asked him if 4G wont be available in India. He said, Indian launch will also ne followed by a software update which will enable the TD-LTE band. According to him, update will be rolled out as soon as the launch happens.
So are you getting one? Which one? 🙂
People were really disappointed when they came to know about the fact that 4G provider Airtel uses TD-LTE 2300 MHz band which is not supported by the Nokia Lumia 920. So despite of having an LTE provider and Lumia 920 being an LTE device, they won’t be able to enjoy the LTE service.
However, while chatting with Nokia Care person, he revealed that Nokia will release a OTA update soon for Lumia 920 which will unlock the TD-LTE band in Lumia 920. We may not consider it as an official statement. I have real bad experience with Nokia priority dealer and their noobish talk. But still we can hope this to be true.
India has LTE connectivity in three cities, Banglore, Pune & Kolkata provided by AirTel. There are probably no mobile phones that supports TD-LTE. TD-LTE is very least used standard, mainly adopted in China. It requires buying an expensive USB device to use them currently. Support for TD-LTE from Lumia 920 will surely bring a boost in LTE users in India.
Nokia Lumia 920 & 820 are about to be launched in major markets and many online stores have already listed them as “Coming Soon”.
@SirajSoft shared a screen of html meta from a online store http://www.saholic.com and it captured my attention with price in meta description.
Though they have listed the device price as Coming Soon at Lumia 920 & 820 product page, they have included price in meta description. Price for Lumia 920 is Rs. 24999 ($465.5) and for 820, it is Rs. 19999 ($372). They are quite unbelievable as they launched Lumia 800 at Rs. 29,000. It may be just their SEO tricks to gain attention.
Whatever, but even if price fall even near them, it will be a big hit! Lumia 920 and 820 should be launched in India this month as confirmed by Nokia, however no announcements on date or price.
*finger crossed* 😉
Thanks @SirajSoft for sharing the tip. 🙂
Nokia announced a new member in Lumia family few days back, Nokia Lumia 510, a low end WP device. Device is now available at India’s well known online store Flipkart.com at killer price of Rs. 9,999 (<$186).
Such a nice device with this great pricing is surely going to give tough time to low end android phones. WP is gaining popularity in high end smartphone market gradually and Lumia 510 is going to push popularity in low end segment too.
Nokia Lumia 510, running WP7.5, sports 800MHz processor with 512MB RAM, 5MP Camera, 4″ TFT Capacitive Touch screen, wifi, FM Radio, etc. Surely a great deal for Rs. 9,999.
So, are you going to get one for you? 🙂
Nokia Lumia 920 got listed on Maniac Store at the price of 30,990 INR which is approx 597 USD. The price is pretty good considering Nokia 808 PureView was launched at 33k INR. Product is still just listed, with an option to notify you when it is available.
I have personally never used this store, neither I have any idea about its reliability. There are tempting options like Cash on Delivery and EMI option. Pretty well if it stays at same price even after it is available.
I am looking forward to this Store. Are you?
