Nokia announces two new member to it’s large, very popular low end series, Asha. Nokia Asha 308 and 309 are the new two devices. Asha series, mainly for offering smartphone like features at affordable prices, is getting popular as a low end market.
Nokia Asha 308 & 309 has swipe inspired UI with capacitive touch offering you best touch experience in the class. The main purpose of Asha phones is to allow all people to connect to the internet and so Asha 308 and 309 comes with Nokia’s Xpress browser which is powered by cloud compression. Nokia claims this technology consumes 90% less data. You can also stream YouTube videos in phone’s video player. Also, Facebook, Twitter etc Social apps come pre-loaded.
Nokia Asha 308 is dual SIM while Nokia Asha 309 is single SIM but comes with Wi-Fi so that you can connect to faster, cheaper internet connections.
Just like other Asha phones, 40 premium EA games can be downloaded for free. The Asha 308 and Asha 309 (which supports Wi-Fi positioning) have Nokia Maps 2.0.
Nokia has recently launched Nokia 808 PureView in India. India is one of the luckiest country to receive that beast early.
IBN Live has recently reported that India is going to receive Nokia Lumia 900 soon. Nokia Lumia 900 is a high end Windows Phone device with 4.3″ AMOLED CBD, powerful 1.4GHz CPU, 8MP dual LED camera and with a front camera also.
With high end phones, low end phones are also coming to India. Nokia’s Asha series is meant for low budget phones that can help everybody connect with the Internet. Nokia Asha 305 and 311 are also coming to India. Low end Windows Phone device, Nokia Lumia 610, will also hit the Indian market soon.
