Windows Phone 8.1 has search feature for Text Messages, Finally!

7 Apr , 2014

A reddit user just discovered while trying the new SDK that Windows Phone 8.1 has now search feature for text message. It’s a very basic feature yet it was dumped in Windows Phone 7 and 8. Search feature in text messages is quite handy while searching for a particular text, let it be related to your registration Id from some service or important texts from your friends/family.

Some users in the comments are also claiming that you will be able to search for text messages using Cortana voice commands, like “Show texts from my wife”.

There are so many little things that keep coming out of Windows Phone 8.1. Let’s see what else Microsoft has packed inside Windows Phone 8.1 for your Lumia. 🙂
