Its Time, Its Done.

We all knew it right from the time Symbian was sacked and Nokia was in a confusing state of how to move forward from there. For better or worse Stephen Elop the CEO of Nokia at that point in time chose to go with Microsoft’s Mobile Operating System the Windows Phone OS. If it had went towards the Android side, then there won’t be a Samsung now. If they have stayed with Symbian, who on earth will know what their stand might look like now. SkyDrive rebranded to OneDrive on WP8

If you remember, Microsoft had to rebrand its SkyDrive to OneDrive because of an dispute with British Sky Broadcasting.

New rebranded app has started coming in Store as an update.

• Improved view of shared files
• Share multiple items at once
• Pin folders to your Start screen
• Open your OneDrive files in other apps
• Bug fixes and performance improvement

Windows Phone 8 Announced: Multicore, 1280×768, NFC and Much More

Microsoft has finally revealed it’s new Mobile OS, Windows Phone 8 officially. It brings many new features and eliminates many other limitations in their former OS.

Multicore Support

It brings support for multicore support. Now stay ready for dual core, quad core Windows Phone devices. WP7 was super smooth on single core devices and now support for more cores will give more better performance. Theoretically, it can support 64 cores!

Bigger Screen Resolution

Screen resolution up to 1280×768 will be available and so you can expect WVGA (800×480), WXVGA (1280×768) and 720p (1280×720) resolutions.

NFC Support

NFC is becoming a vital connectivity option in current trends so Microsoft won’t like to stay behind. WP8 will support NFC.
