Chorus and Nokia partner to create Optical Wavelength service

Nokia made an announcement stating Chorus will be trialing a new Optical Wavelength solution in the city of Auckland, New Zealand using its network infrastructure and commissioning solution. The network is supposed to be an Open network that can cater to on-demand service requirements for users. The network is based on the emerging MEF1 standard, that has the potential to open wholesaling optical wavelength services in a completely different way.
